ABOUT Justice For Nantucket
On March 10th, 2018, the African Meeting House on Nantucket Island, MA was the target of a hate crime in which "N****r Leave" was spray painted across the front of the building.
On June 20th, 2019, the Nantucket Police Department turned over the investigation to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office. It has been more than two years now, and the Nantucket community, and primarily the Black community on the island, have still not received closure from this incident. There are numerous yard signs on the island demanding justice for this case.
We are demanding an update from Assistant District Attorney Daniel Higgins, who Attorney General Maura Healey appointed to the case.
